Finnair’s inflight magazine Blue Wings has an interview with Tyler Brule, the old founder and EIC of Wallpaper, this month. It’s here on page 22. I spent a large part of the spring semesters of my junior and senior years of college, when I was home from studying abroad, obsessing about things like Wallpaper magazine, how I was going to work for them (oh, the letters to Mr. Brule that thankfully were never sent), my travel lust, and clipping those city guides out of the back of them and filing them by continent in little folders for later travel planning. I ultimately ended up working for other glossies when I finally made it to New York, but I’m glad to see my instincts about who to follow in media were positive.
